Keep your fingers out of the machinery. Notice your tendency to want
to fix the machine. That is your most human quality. But the machine
is already fixed. Actually it never was broken. It doesn't need you
to fix it. The machine is OK the way it is.
This is the way it turned out. It turned out this way whether you
have an opinion or not that it should have turned out this way or
differently. Be gracious with the outcome. Your energy is better
spent being with it rather than resisting it or arguing with it.
Life is a roller coaster. You can ride it with joy and deliberation.
Or you can resist riding it and simply be taken along held captive
for the ride. But you can't avoid riding it because being born you
already chose to ride it. Choosing again newly what you already chose
is an opening allowing you to move on.
Some experiences are unpleasant. Some experiences are pleasant. We
avoid unpleasant experiences and we prefer pleasant experiences.
Consider that both avoidance and preference are machinery and
therefore automatic. Choosing the experience you are experiencing,
whatever it is, and being with it is mastery.
You have no access to knowing what drives another to do what they do.
None. Everything anyone does occurs for you the way it occurs for you
because of who you are not because of who they are and not because of
what they do and especially not because of what they do to you.
Arguably the damnedest trap of being human is the futility of
pretending that there is an "out there" out there. All righteousness
is enslaved to that. What there is for you is a world occurring
congruent with who you are being. Owning the occurring world gives
choice in the matter, in all matters.
